I've seen at least 5 movies in my lifetime, and this has to be the best og the lot.
There is soooo much right in this movie. so everybody should give it a go.
Sure there are things that really doesn't make sense if you start to think about it. luckily people normally dont.
Overall, despite the flauds, this is one of the greats. see it.

I went to see this movie with my brother because we've grown up with Batman (not to mention I was trying to prove my movie choices were better than his) Anyway, this movie had everything we liked from the special quiet moments to the fast actions parts that leave you dizzy.
The direction was amazing, my only comment was not getting to really SEE the action bits because they went by so fast. And though in the beginning I enjoyed the dizzy feeling I got when I tried focusing. I feel it achieved the confusion Bruce Wayne was battling, but later on it would have been nice to have focus.
Christian Bale made my day as iron hard Batman and vulnerable Bruce Wayne while managing to blend them nicely. Though I can't compare it to his previous roles since I have not in all honesty seen him in any other movies that I am aware of, in this movie he was flawless.
Michel Cane should get an Oscar for his role as supportive and slightly patronizing Alfred (the butler) and though the role was somewhat stereotypical he managed to make it different.
The weak link in an otherwise amazing cast was Katie Holmes, though I am personally a fan (peices of April anyone? I feel she was trying too hard. She did her best though since her character had very few useful scenes and was truly pointless, she and Christian Bale had absolutely no chemistry and since of course they have to end up together (for no good reason besides she is the only main character that is a girl) it is the weakest scene in the movie, this is truly unfortunate, even when she is unconscious the two of them feel awkward.
The plot is pretty sound, there is the occasional hole but it doesn't affect the viewing at all.
I give it. 10.
